As a childbirth educator and hypnobirthing teacher I see my role as empowering you to seek out and experience the best birth for you and for your baby by: understanding how you can work with your body rather than against it; understanding the Belgian maternity services and giving you the confidence to work with your caregivers.
Before coming to Belgium I was a nurse with 25 years practical experience. I have a ‘Master of Studies in Primary and Community Care’ from Cambridge University (UK) and a ‘Diploma in Antenatal Education’ from the University of Bedford (UK) I was a Prenatal Teacher (teaching the more traditional NCT style antenatal classes) for 5 years. In August 2020 I qualified as a KG Hypnobirthing Teacher. All my acquired knowledge, skills and experience as an antenatal teacher inform and enrich my hypnobirthing classes.
Plus I am a First Aid Instructor and teach classes aimed at pregnant and new parents.
